Background: I am a Special Education and Math Teacher at Council Rock South. I graduated from Kenyon College in 1989 and spent 20 years in finance as a Japanese equity specialist before pursuing a life-long dream to become a teacher. In early 2012 I left the finance industry and joined Teach for America, and spent two years teaching in West and North Philadelphia, while simulataneously earning a MS. Education from the University of Pennsylvania, with certifications in Math and Special Education. I am also certified in Social Studies. In August of 2014 I joined the Council Rock School District. Teaching Responsibilities: I teach Concepts in Math and American Civ 10. I also am a case manager for students with IEPs. Extra-Curricular Responsibilities: I coach the Chess team. All players are welcome regardless of age or ability! Contact Information: Please send me an email to mnauen@crsd.org. To Parents: I will contact you as soon as I see an email. To Students: I will call you at home to help you with work, but only if I can speak to your parents first. I am in room 209A or room 222 Monday to Thursday after school, and can meet Friday if need be. Come by!
