Council Rock School District Athletic Physical Procedures

 

PIAA now allows for a yearly pre-participation physical. The physicals for the 2025-26 school year may not be completed any earlier than May 1st, 2025. This physical is good for the entire 2025-26 school year, and only requires physician re-certification if the student sustains an injury or illness since the original physical was performed.

If a student participates in multiple sports seasons the re-certification form (winter or spring) will need to be completed.  

As an example, a student who receives a physical in July of 2025 has met the requirement to participate on all interscholastic athletic teams for the 2025-26 school year and would not need to be seen again by a physician until the following summer unless sustaining an injury or illness.
