ANNOUNCEMENTS FOR THE 2024 SEASON:
The 2024 cross country season is underway! Here's the latest news...

The start of official season, is Monday, August 12th (Monday - Friday @ 7:00am)
  • Practice locations vary throughout the summer based on workout plans and weather conditions.
  • Athletes will be advised of practice locations by the coaching staff and/or team captains prior to each practice.
  • Tuesdays & Thursdays we have the weight room which is why practice may run longer than Monday & Wednesday.

***Updates throughout the season will be communicated to athletes and parents on this website as well as TeamSnap.  If you are not on the TeamSnap, please reach out to Coach Chak to be put on!!

PIAA Paperwork
  • All PIAA paperwork, including the physical, must be uploaded to the ATS Portal. Please go to this website for all the information you will need.   You can fill out and or upload all the documents there.  https://crsouth.crsd.org/athletics/sports-medicine/athletic-medical-forms
  • The PIAA now allows for a once per year pre-participation physical.  These physicals for the school calendar year 24-25 may not be completed any earlier than June 1.  This physical is good for the entire 24-25 school year, and only requires physician re-certification if the student sustains an injury or illness since the original physical was performed.
    • As an example, a student who receives a physical in July of 2024 has met the requirement to participate on all interscholastic athletic teams for the 2024-25 school year and would not need to be seen again by a physician until the following summer unless sustaining an injury or illness.
  • Please contact our Athletic Trainer with any questions per the PIAA paperwork.  Abbie Predmore MS, LAT, ATC - abbie.predmore@crsd.org

Once official practice begins you will not be able to attend without ALL the paperwork submitted and approved.  Additionally, you will need the same paperwork to attend camp so getting this completed as soon as possible after June 1st is highly recommended.

Concussion Test (no Impact Test needed for XC)
  • Mandatory Concussion Education: module to be completed online and uploaded in the ATS portal - material has been emailed by Scott Lisher to athletes and their primary contact parent. Since cross country is a non-contact sport, only the Concussion Education video and follow-up test is required (the Impact Test is not mandatory).

Practice Dates & Times
  • Monday, August 12th: official start of mandatory cross country practice (7:00 -10:30am Mon thru Fri - end times approx.)
  • Monday, August 26th: start of practice after school 3:00pm.
  • If you are interested in distance running, please contact the coaching staff prior to attending practice so we can tell you more about our program. All are welcome to join!
