Requirements for Members

As a member of NHS, you are expected to:

o   Attend meetings as announced by the advisor/officers (generally once each month).

o   Provide 4 hours of one-on-one tutoring assigned to me by an NHS officer/advisor.

o   Provide 4 hours of tutoring in the library on a Thursday night – there will be a signup genius for you to choose your dates (first-come-first-serve).

o   Earn 15 credits for other NHS activities (one credit ~1 hour of service).

o   Maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.95. Receive no D’s or F’s on your report card.  Failure to do so will result in probation and then, if necessary, dismissal for the second failure to maintain academic standards.

o   Within one week of its availability, upload a pdf copy of my report card to the canvas course assignment.

o   Maintain the conduct befitting of a member of the NHS.

o   Assist the officers as requested.

o   Failure to appear at an event I volunteered for/was assigned to will result in probation as well as a deduction from earned credits equal to the number of credits that would have been earned at the missed event.  A second failure to appear will result in dismissal.

o   I understand that any violation of the Code of Conduct, including but not limited to any type of cheating, will result in expulsion from the NHS after the FIRST offense.
